JASPER COUNTY EDUCATION

The Jasper County Board of Supervisors announce a new tuition guarantee program in
partnership with Jones County Junior College that will allow every graduating senior in
Jasper County to attend JCJC tuition-free. More information here.

Jasper County educational system is excellent and offers many options for students' wide ranging needs.

Jasper County is divided into two consolidated districts:

              * East Jasper Consolidated School District

              * West Jasper Consolidated School District

Each separate school district has its own board and superintendant of education. These superintendants are appointed by their respective boards.

Jasper County Career Development Center offers training in trade and technology skills. Both school districts share the Career Development Center.

Two private schools are located within the county:

Sylva Bay Academy is a k-12 in Bay Springs

Heidelberg Academy is a private k-12 in Heidelberg.
