Date set for Hol-Mac Corporation’s 5th Annual Tinkers Camp
At a weeklong camp, June 11 – 15, students learn to tinker with such things as 4-cycle engines, ropes and pulleys, a drill press, hydraulics, and electronics. Along with the projects, students are tutored in math and vocabulary. The focus of the camp is to help students with their studies, give them a positive outlook on learning and expose them to technical information that will help them in the future. Each year Mr. Charles Holder enjoys sharing “life lessons” with the campers. The camp is open to students entering the 7th, 8th & 9th grades.
Jasper County Learning Center. Jones County Junior College offers a wide range of classes GED and other educational opportunities at the adult ed center in Bay Springs. Call 601-764-9393 for more information. College credit classes can now be taken at the learning center.
